In the game, Markus is a caretaker android who informs police about a burglary when he returns home along with his owner. While investigating the case and catching the criminal, Markus goes beyond his program and becomes a rogue android due to which Police shoot him on the spot. After waking, Markus then finds himself among the waste of broken androids. After escaping, Markus then discovers a damaged ship named Jericho which is a safe zone for other rogue androids. In the end, Markus and the others initiate a war. Jesse Williams voiced the character and performed motion captures of the character as well.
